A Bahamian Winter
The wind was blowing and the sea was rough.
That is what winter can be like here in Abaco. The first 2 weeks of our latest missions trip was cool and windy with temperatures in single fingers for most of the time. As most of the folks here drive round in golf carts and have no heating in their homes, it felt quite cold but with blankets and duvets we survived a Bahamian winter!
The services in the church have been very encouraging. One third of the island population come to church each Sunday morning and we praise God for a breakthrough in several families here. We have not seen any conversions yet, but we have had several conversations about God with some of the most unlikely men on the island who have promised to come to the service on Sunday. It may be winter time in Abaco but we are praying for the blessing of summer in many hearts here.
Please pray with us that as we continue to minister here, God's power will be seen. We are expecting that His word will breakthrough the hearts of hardened men.
